Day 6 Short but sweet.

That’s the ride and not the author!

Kids back to school today so me and Anne went to Doddington Hall for a walk and a coffee. Back to work tomorrow so plenty to do therefore only a short ride.

Just to clarify, my endeavour this year is not about miles but rather to be cycling each day. That said I am going to get a number of longer rides in this year and at least one longer trek. I am keeping a note of miles ridden and plan to tally it all up at the end.

One of the things I have already noticed about riding each day is that it gives me chance to have a good think. Time to think about where I am riding to and what the significance of the place is, if any. Time is a funny thing! The number of people I have heard to say, “2014, where did that go?” As we got to the end of 2014 our son had a birthday and turned 13, that means all our kids are teenagers! It feels like it was only yesterday they were little!

Family portrait.

So another challenge is to make the most of each day enjoy each moment and…

Carpe Diem, seize the day.
