Disaster!

Gonna have to think of a different name for my blog again!

I didn’t think that I would end this day on crutches!!! Prepare for a daft story. So I had just had a sleep this afternoon in preparation for tonight’s night shift, waking up at 4:00pm. A notification on my mobile from a news source announcing tht at 4:10pm there was going to be a fly past of 13 Spitfire aircraft! WOW thought I, this is not something you see every day. So I shouted to my son, ‘Dan get some shoes on’ and we raced to go outside to see them. I ran out the front door when SNAP went the rear of my calf muscle and I ended up in a heap on my neighbours lawn!

After 2 and a half hours in A&E I have torn my Achilles’ tendon and have to elicited it and keep it packed in ice and, rest it!!! Noooooooo! That means no cycling for a while, rats!

Oh well. As soon as I am declared fit I am out there again, but for now it’s rest.
